Through Worlds is an immersive three-screen audio-visual experience that brings the audience through multiple worlds. As a result of Jo’s visual work at the time creating digital environments, she wanted to explore the desire at this moment in digital art creation to present “bigger” and more immersive experience, while touching on architectural typological tropes like “cyberpunk” environments and imaginations of fantastical techno-utopic environments.
The end of this experience takes the audience atop a hill with flourishing purple-leaved trees as they gaze over the fog in front of them, becoming a “virtual wanderer above the sea of fog” within the current trend of digital sublimity emerging through a wide range of new digital tools that enhance the very feelings of the Sublime, forever seeking into our imaginations of the future for something larger than us, or for meaning in our creations that seem larger than ourselves.
